Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Proven experience in delivering technical subjects at a secondary or further education level.

About The role

The role of Lecturer Computer Science is ideal if you want a varied role where you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of our Computer Science/Computing students within the Sheffield College and Sheffield Sixth Form. Have a passion for teaching and wish to contribute to a college which believes that each student has a capacity to excel, regardless of their background.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

? The design and delivery of the A level Computer Science and vocational computing curriculum

? Assessing student work and providing timely and constructive feedback

? Liaising with students, parents and stakeholders

? Meeting the diverse needs of our students

? Tracking and monitoring learner progress

? Providing extracurricular opportunities for learners

What we can offer you

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £30,570- £37,668per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
