We are looking for a Lecturer - Classical Conducting at Leeds Conservatoire. Our department offers a dynamic and comprehensive training environment for aspiring conductors. We provide specialised tuition in classical conducting to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivered through individual lessons and group workshops.
Students engage in the design, development, and delivery of curriculum content related to classical conducting, ensemble direction, and orchestral leadership. The department emphasises inclusive and pedagogically sound teaching practices, supporting students across varied levels of experience. We have collaborated with the Orchestra of Opera North, to provide students with real-world conducting experience and exposure to professional orchestral settings.
Please note that the total number of working hours for appointed staff will depend on teaching and assessment responsibilities and on student enrolment numbers.
