Job summary

Edinburgh College is looking for a full-time Biology and Chemistry Lecturer to join the Health Professions Curriculum. The role involves delivering educational content and practical lab sessions focusing on Human Biology and Chemistry for care professionals across multiple campuses. Candidates with experience in Curriculum for Excellence are preferred, and diversity in hiring is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in teaching Biology and Chemistry at various academic levels.
  • Familiar with Curriculum for Excellence qualifications at National 4, 5 and Higher level.
  • Ability to teach both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver both theoretical knowledge and laboratory practice in Human Biology and Chemistry.
  • Facilitate courses across various academic levels within the Health Professions Curriculum.
  • Work at multiple Edinburgh College campuses as required.

Location: Sighthill Campus, Bankhead Avenue, EH11 4DE

Salary: £40,170 – £48,357 per annum (Placement on the salary scale is dependent on qualifications and experience as per the National guidelines

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Biology and Chemistry Lecturer within the Health Professions Curriculum.

This role will be worked across our Milton Road and Sighthill Campus

The successful post holder will be required to deliver both theoretical knowledge and laboratory practice subject matter within the Health, Wellbeing and Social Science Faculty across a range of academic levels within the subject area of Human Biology and Physiology and Chemistry.

This role predominantly focuses on the delivery of Human Biology and Physiology for Care Professionals. Experience of delivering Curriculum for Excellence qualifications at National 4, 5 and Higher level would be an advantage
