Salary: £150 - £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

As a Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within your specialist subject area, contributing to the academic success and personal growth of your learners. You will foster an environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and academic resilience, preparing students for further study or the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons tailored to diverse secondary learners.
  • Develop lesson plans and schemes of work that align with curriculum and institutional goals.
  • Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Contribute to departmental development and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, and student outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance where appropriate.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and create an inclusive learning environment.

Job Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. CertEd, or equivalent) is essential.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience teaching in a further education, sixth form, or higher education context.
  • Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to adapt content to varied learning levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive practice.
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL).
