About the opportunity

  • Undertake independent teaching and research in the area of Population and Global Health
  • Responsible for unit coordination, academic teaching, administration, research student supervision and undertake public health research, with a focus on Aboriginal health.
  • Teach, contribute to the academic environment of the School of Population & Global Health generally and develop a strong research portfolio.

About you

  • Desirable - A Master’s degree in an academic field relevant to the discipline or other appropriate professional qualifications is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with flexible and innovative teaching approaches, including blended and culturally responsive methods.
  • Willingness to supervise research students and support staff development.
  • Willingness and/or experience in seeking research funding, including for Indigenous-focused or community-based projects.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and respectfully with Indigenous students, staff, and communities, with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural safety.

Note: Confirmation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage will be required for the successful applicant prior to appointment.
