Job Role: Support worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, or clinics. They are vital team members in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare professionals.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients wash, shower, or dress
• Assisting with feeding
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting with mobility
• Helping with toileting, including bedpans
• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the ward or patient's home
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new healthcare assistants.
