Job summary

Heritage Crafts in the United Kingdom offers an apprenticeship to join our leather production team. You will learn all aspects of leather production and fabrication with full training provided, developing skills in leather preparation, machining, sewing, and quality control.

You will learn to safely operate cutting press machinery, use skiving machines, and work with CNC machinery under supervision, contributing to fabrication, assembly, and quality checks within a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentices will learn leather preparation, machining, sewing and quality control.
• Full training will be provided to develop valuable skills in leather production.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate cutting press machinery to cut leather and other materials.
• Receive training on skiving machines for preparing leather components.
• Prepare and handle leather for fabrication and assembly.
• Develop skills operating CNC machinery under supervision.
• Assist with general fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Learn industrial sewing techniques and complete sewing tasks.
• Stitch different types of leather and materials to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and quality objectives.
