Job description

At Yum! Brands, we’re home to some of the world’s most loved restaurant brands, including KFC and Taco Bell. Across our brands, markets and franchise partners, we’re united by one big ambition: to build distinctive, culture-shaping brands that people love, and to create places where real people can build real careers.

We move fast, think big and back our people to make things happen. Whether you’re in a restaurant, a support centre or working across brands, you’ll be part of a global business with local heart, full of people who care deeply about great food, brilliant teams and doing things the right way.

The Finance Analyst plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely lease and property accounting across the finance function. The role is responsible for lease-related accounting, reconciliations and period-end review, working closely with internal teams to ensure lease and property transactions are accounted for correctly and financial information is complete, accurate and well controlled.

What You’ll Do
  • Own timely reconciliations and analysis for property-related accounts, ensuring balance sheet accounts remain current, accurate and compliant with SOX requirements.
  • Manage accounting for rent payments and accruals, service charges, landlord insurance and business rates, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in the appropriate period.
  • Deliver quarterly reporting and balance sheet analysis, investigating movements and providing clear supporting explanations.
  • Prepare period-end and quarterly accounting and analysis for property-related expense accounts, supporting an accurate and efficient close process.
  • Prepare and raise recharges to franchisees for sub-let stores and business rentals, ensuring charges are accurate, appropriately supported and processed on a timely basis.
  • Support quarterly and annual forecasting for lease and property-related costs, including analysis and explanation of variances against forecast and prior periods.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by coordinating requests, preparing clear supporting documentation and providing logical, timely responses.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve lease and property accounting queries and maintain the quality and integrity of financial information.
What You Bring
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • A strong process-oriented approach, with high attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information, investigate variances and draw insightful conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritise workload effectively and operate successfully in a dynamic environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Working towards an accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Previous lease or property accounting experience would be beneficial.
