Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking School Support Workers to assist pupils with additional learning needs in a caring, dynamic environment. You will support personal care, daily living activities, and educational participation, while contributing to individual care plans.

The role involves safeguarding, risk assessments, and enabling pupils to engage with community activities, clubs, and education opportunities. A thorough DBS check will be completed as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

Experience or demonstrable commitment to working with pupils who have additional learning needs is essential.

Responsibilities

To support our young people to achieve positive outcomes and to enable them to participate in the local community.
To enable our young people to pursue their hobbies and interests, supporting them on a one-to-one basis or in group-based activities.
To maintain records for each individual and to provide support with creating and regularly updating care plans.
To involve and consult with the individual regarding risk assessments that affect their choices and lifestyle.
To safeguard the health, well-being, and safety of our young people and report concerns as per policy.
To provide personal care and support per individual needs and preferences, including possible delegated healthcare tasks.
To contribute towards capacity assessments and best interest decisions.
To provide support ensuring individuals’ spiritual, cultural, and religious choices are met.
