Job description

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Worker to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Swinfen Hall. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

Swinfen Hall is a category C prison located near Swinfen village in Staffordshire, housing young adult and adult men. The prison's main goal is to provide education, vocational training, and support services to prepare inmates for successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Level 2 or equivalent in Hidden Difficulties (or be willing to achieve this within an agreed timeframe)
  • Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to work towards within an agreed timeframe)
  • Experience in achieving performance targets
  • Accurate and timely reporting skills
  • Positive team working attitude
