Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is essential.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one is required.
  • Knowledge of communication tools like Makaton or PECS is desirable.

Learning Support Worker - Swindon | £14.50 per hour

Location: Swindon
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only (full-time and part-time roles available)

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning disabilities
  • Assist with classroom activities, lesson delivery, and behaviour management
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs, where required
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication tools
  • Relevant qualifications in education or health & social care
