What we7re looking for:
At least 6 months of experience working with adults or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism.
A positive and proactive approach to supporting individuals, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your calm demeanor and ability to build rapport will be key.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as the role may involve transporting individuals or supporting off-site activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development and well-being of autistic adults.
In this role, you will:
Provide direct support to adults in various learning environments, including vocational training, life skills development, and community integration.
Assist in creating an engaging and inclusive learning and living environment.
Help to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach.
Contribute to the individual progress and well-being of the adults we support.
Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals.
