Job summary

Randstad Care is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to support autistic and SEN adults in a specialist day service near Dorking. The role focuses on helping learners build confidence, communication, and independent living skills through personalised learning plans.

This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and a salary of £25,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in a support or care role is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to build confidence, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-management strategies.
• Follow bespoke learning plans designed around individual skills, needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with families and health & social care professionals to tailor support to each learner’s aspirations.
• Contribute to creating a supportive, inclusive environment to promote learner independence.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of autistic adults? This incredible setting is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team and help learners achieve meaningful and beneficial outcomes through personalised lifelong learning opportunities.

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Annual Leave: 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

This award winning setting is a specialist day service for autistic and SEN adults that are aged 18+. This specialist setting is committed to empowering individuals to make positive, personal choices that enhance their wellbeing and social inclusion. Since 2012, this setting has provided a structured and supportive environment, where learners work closely with the skilled Learning Support Workers to achieve their educational and personal development goals.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting learners to build confidence, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-management strategies. Each learner follows a bespoke learning plan, designed around their unique skills, needs, and preferences. You will work closely with families and health & social care professionals to ensure that every learner receives the best possible support tailored to their aspirations.

This setting boasts a modern site and exceptional facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, sensory room, onsite gym, horticultural tunnels, cafe and IT workshops to name a few.

We are looking for individuals who are caring, patient, and committed to supporting autistic adults in developing independence and reaching their full potential. Experience in a support or care role is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided. Experience supporting learners with SEN would be desirable.
