Job description

Required as soon as possible/ September 2025

We are looking for a Learning Support Practitioner to work in our SEND base. You will work with
instruction from our Inclusion Manager to support pupils in their integration back into mainstream
classes.

Key responsibilities

• implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the Inclusion Manager, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate
• supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
• support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the Inclusion Manager as appropriate
• assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff
• establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
• assist the Inclusion Manager with the planning and developing of appropriate learning activities for learner with SEND
• Assist the Inclusion Manager in monitoring pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
• Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, problems etc.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Dates for visits are as below:

• Tuesday 3rd June 2025 - 3.30 pm
• Thursday 5th June 2025 - 9.00 am or 3.30 pm
