Job summary

St Bart’s Multi Academy Trust is seeking an adaptable Teaching Assistant to provide classroom cover for up to 3 days during short-term absence. You will work with teachers to support learning activities, focusing on individuals, groups, and classes under supervision.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, pastoral care, and helping pupils with diverse needs, including those with English as an additional language. You'll join a supportive team and contribute to pupils' progress and development.

Qualifications

• Provide short-term classroom cover for up to 3 days when needed.
• Assist with planned learning activities under supervision of a qualified teacher.
• Support pupils with learning, behaviour, and language needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups or whole classes under teacher direction.
• Assess, record and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Liaise with staff and other professionals to support pupil welfare and learning.
• Provide pastoral care and help maintain pupils' wellbeing and engagement.
