Job description

Required from September 2025 (subject to satisfactory clearance checks), the Governing Body of Highfields Primary School wish to appoint an experienced Learning Support Practitioner Level 3.

Applications are invited from an enthusiastic, hard-working LSP Level 3 who has experience of supporting and working with children with a variety of special educational needs. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and hold the relevant qualification. Experience in Key Stage 1 is desirable.

The position will involve working with individual pupils and small groups, liaising with teachers, SENDCO, outside agencies and other support staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • be passionate about children’s learning and have an inclusive approach to all aspects of learning and teaching;
  • have experience in using MAPA, Makaton, PECS, Widget, Precision Teaching, TEACCH;
  • Welcome the opportunity to work closely with parents, governors and the local community;
