Role: Learning Support Officer in Art and Design

Location: Manchester

Type: Temporary, Full Time

Sector: Education (Art & Design)

Pay: £15 - £20 per hour

About the Role

In this dynamic role, you'll be working closely with Art & Design students and staff, providing technical and practical support in workshops and studio settings. Your role will help ensure students get the most out of their creative studies by supporting the safe and effective use of specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in practical sessions, offering guidance on the correct and safe use of materials and machinery
  • Maintain and prepare workshop equipment and resources
  • Assist teaching staff during demonstrations and technical tasks
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in workshop environments
Ideal Experience/Skills
  • Heat press machines
  • Laser cutting machines
  • UV light exposure units (cyanotyping/screen printing)
  • Printing presses
