Learning Support Modifications Assistant

Derby College Group (DCG) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Support Modifications Assistant to join our growing Learning Support Team. The main purpose of the role is to provide modified resources and specialist equipment to support students across all Derby College sites, ensuring they have equal access to their academic programs.
This role will be based at our main sites: The Roundhouse, Broomfield Hall, and The Joseph Wright Centre.
The Opportunity
You will collaborate closely with the Learning Support Co-ordinator and the Specialist Equipment and Modifications Team to modify learning materials using various techniques and software. You will also support the management of specialist equipment, liaising with students, the Learning Support Team, and other college departments including IT, ILT, and Curriculum Delivery.

About You
You should have a passion for supporting young people with complex needs and barriers to learning. Knowledge of material adaptation, specialist equipment, and Assistive Technology is essential. Experience with SEND reforms and the development of Education, Health and Care Plans, along with understanding diverse assessment methods, is desirable.
