An educational institution in Cambridge is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to assist students in achieving their learning outcomes and promote their social inclusion. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support young people with Special Educational Needs. Cambridge Regional College are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor - Health and Personal Careto join Creative Industry department at our Cambridge Campus.
You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time only (38 weeks) basis and in return will receive a salary of £20,436 per annum (equivalent to a full year salary of £23,519 per annum) plus staff benefits.
Please note that for this role, the finishing time is 5pm.

About the role
You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of young people while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence.
You will get the opportunity to support students in all vocational areas of the college and assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.
The primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to:
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while out in support of learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy.
The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative.
You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND.
