Job Title: Learning Support Mentor
Location: Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £102.67 to £118.72 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

Reeson Education is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join a specialist setting in Manchester. This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity to work with pupils of all ages with a range of special educational needs, from moderate to more complex needs.

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development. You will work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that each student receives the tailored support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities for the Learning Support Mentor:

  • Support pupils of all ages with various special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning activities and strategies.
  • Provide support with personal care, social skills, and learning tasks, helping pupils to thrive in the classroom.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment to encourage the development of key life and academic skills.
  • Assist in the creation of individual learning plans and monitor pupil progress.

Ideal Candidate for the Learning Support Mentor Role:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) or in a similar support role.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with diverse needs.
  • Adaptable and patient, with a strong ability to manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
  • Willing to work as part of a team, supporting both pupils and colleagues.
  • Ideally, a Learning Support Mentor with an empathetic, proactive approach to supporting children's development.
