Job summary

Gosfield Community Primary School in Essex seeks a Learning Support Assistant and Forest School Lead to provide one-to-one EHCP support, deliver speech and language interventions, and contribute to outdoor learning through Forest School activities. The role works closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to meet pupils’ needs across the core school day.

The position is full-time (32.5 hours per week), permanent, with lunchtime and playground duties, and a willingness to undertake Forest School

Qualifications

• Experience providing one-to-one support for pupils with EHCPs.
• Forest School training or willingness to undertake training.
• Experience supporting pupils with speech and language needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support for pupils with an EHCP, tailored to learning, communication, and social needs.
• Deliver and support speech and language interventions under guidance of SENCO and professionals.
• Contribute to Forest School provision and outdoor learning activities across year groups.
• Assist pupils at lunchtime and on the playground to promote wellbeing and social interactions.
• Collaborate with staff to implement EHCP strategies and contribute to progress reviews.
• Maintain accurate records of support and pupil development.
• Champion the RAISE values in everyday practice.
