Full-Time SEN Support Staff – Southampton – Term-Time Only

A large, Ofsted-rated Outstanding SEN primary school in Southampton is seeking full-time support staff to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs.

The school caters to primary-aged pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and sensory and medical needs. The setting is well-resourced and highly regarded for its nurturing environment, inclusive ethos, and strong multidisciplinary approach.

Key Details:

  • Location: Southampton

  • Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

  • Pay: £13.75 per hour

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Interviews: Taking place throughout the summer

  • Agency: You will initially be employed through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to transition into a permanent role directly with the school

Person Specification:

  • Experience: You must have previous experience supporting children with complex needs in either an educational or medical setting

  • Skills: A calm, empathetic approach with the ability to build strong relationships and respond effectively to individual needs

  • Personal Care: Willingness to provide personal care is essential

  • Commitment: A strong desire to contribute positively to pupils’ learning and well-being
