We are looking for a highly motivated person with an enthusiasm for improving services for individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and the ability to organise and manage your work within set statutory timescales. You will be able to communicate well with people of all ages and from all backgrounds, demonstrate a positive and inclusive manner, and keep accurate records.

You will be employed within the ALS Team in the Student Support Services department structure under the overall management of the Head of SEND and ALS. You will report directly to the SEN Coordinator for professional, personal, and organisational direction.

This role oversees a manageable caseload of SEND students, supporting their journey from pre-entry, transition to college, whilst on their study programme and their progression onwards. The current vacancy oversees learners primarily within our Inclusive Learning department, working alongside two Learning Support Coordinators. You will oversee learners accessing Pre-entry to Level 1 courses who have a range of learning difficulties and disabilities across the four broad areas of SEND.

Ideally, the candidate will have a qualification in SEND or equivalent or be willing to work towards it in the first year. We would also be interested in candidates who have a depth of equivalent experience in SEND as there is support available to undertake appropriate CPD and training for the right candidate.

You will also have a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
