Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a large, vibrant Primary School in Totteridge, High Wycombe. You will support children across Nursery to Year 6, preparing materials and working with individuals or small groups to support learning and behaviour management.
The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication with pupils and staff, and safeguarding. GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4+) are required; DBS checks are carried out on appointment.
Good levels of English and Mathematics are essential for the role and we require a Grade 4 or higher GCSE or the equivalent (e.g. Grade C or higher O-Level, CSE Grade 1) in these subjects. You will preferably have had experience in an educational setting, however opportunities for training are available so this is not essential Training in Read Write Inc would be an advantage as well as knowledge of working with children with speech and language disorders.
