About the School
Kingsley Primary is situated in the heart of Toxteth. The school community is diverse and it is an exciting place to work! The school takes children from age 2 to 11, with two classes in every year group. The school is continuing to seek every opportunity to expand our creative, experiential curriculum and to offer our pupils enhanced opportunities. We are highly aspirational and welcome the chance to bring really skilled and committed new members to our team. Staff at Kingsley are valued, offered great opportunities to develop and are crucial to our ongoing success. We need someone who is passionate about school improvement and is ambitious for themselves, the children and the school. Our staff are committed, skilled and hardworking, and are looking for someone to inspire them further, both in terms of learning and the curriculum and wider team work. Our area is typical of other Liverpool inner city areas, with the challenges and benefits that can bring. No two days are often the same, the school is busy and thriving. Kingsley children are delightful and enthusiastic, and make great , sometimes startling, progress, often from very low starting points. They enjoy school, as can be seen from their impressive attendance. Our families are supportive and want the very best for their children. We have a very strong relationship with the Local Authority, and other local schools, to the benefit of all of our pupils and staff. At Kingsley you will find polite, hardworking pupils, supported by parents and carers who are on side, working together with staff to help every child to achieve. This role is to support the teacher with classroom learning, group work, one to one support and supporting children during unstructured times of the day. You will likely be working in Key stage 2, however this may change depending on staffing before the end of term. The role is for one year in the first instance to support the school to cover maternity leave and provide additional classes to boost progress. However, there is scope in our large school for this role or similar to become something more permanent (budget depending) and those with ambition for a longer term post would be welcomed. We would encourage you to visit the school, ask questions, and see for yourself our range of practice and the exciting possibilities of the post. We look forward to hearing from you.
