Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking Learning Support Assistants to support students with additional learning needs across West London colleges and sixth forms. These are ongoing temporary roles designed to help students access the curriculum and achieve educational goals.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist with learning difficulties, monitor progress, promote inclusion, and work with staff to implement strategies and reasonable adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting students in an educational, SEND, or learning support environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet research.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Commitment to supporting students with disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
  • Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at Level 2 or above (or willingness to work towards them).

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in classroom settings across a range of subjects and levels.

  • Reinforce learning by helping students practise and develop skills taught during lessons.
  • Accompany students on educational visits and support participation in college activities where required.

Learning Support Assistants

These are ongoing temporary opportunities for individuals passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs and helping them achieve their educational goals.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in classroom settings across a range of subjects and levels.

  • Assist students with learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional support needs to access the curriculum effectively.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in learning support or working with young people with learning disabilities.

  • Experience within an educational environment providing academic or personal care support.

  • Willingness to provide personal care support to individuals with high needs.

  • Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last three months or on the update service.



Education Requirements:


  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work.

  • Literacy and Numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above is desirable.



Experience Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
