Qualifications

  • Erfahrung in der Gesundheitsversorgung oder Pflege ist wünschenswert.
  • Training in manueller Handhabung und Unterstützung von Schülern.

Responsibilities

  • 1:1 Unterstützung für Schüler mit schweren Lernbehinderungen.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit Lehrkräften zur Umsetzung individueller Lernpläne.

Job description

Location: Hammersmith, London (W12) Salary: £89 per day (PAYE) Contract Type: Full-time – 8:30am – 4:45pm About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist school in Hammersmith that caters to students with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. The school provides a nurturing, supportive environment for children and young people aged 5 to 19. If you have a background in healthcare or care and are passionate about making a positive difference in students' lives, this role offers a rewarding opportunity. You will assist students in both their academic and personal development, ensuring that their individual needs are met in a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. • Assist with personal care tasks, including manual handling and feeding. • Support students with challenging behaviours and maintain a safe, structured learning environment. • Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalized learning plans. • Assist with any required medical care and support, including using communication aids (training provided). • Ensure the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of students throughout the school day. Skills and Experience Required: • Experience in healthcare, care roles, or working with children with SEND is highly desirable. • Training in manual handling, feeding assistance, and supporting students with challenging behaviours. • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and colleagues. • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students' development. • Flexible and proactive approach to working in a dynamic environment.
