Job description

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Vocational Courses (Construction, Electrical, Bricklaying) Location: Bromley Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: September 2025 About the Role A mainstream college in Bromley is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs on vocational construction courses, including electrical work, bricklaying, and general construction. You will provide 1:1 and group support to help students access their practical lessons safely and confidently, enabling them to develop vital skills for their chosen trades. Key Responsibilities Support students with additional needs during vocational practical sessions. Assist with safety and equipment use in construction, electrical, and bricklaying workshops. Help students understand instructions and complete tasks effectively. Encourage independence and skill development. Work collaboratively with tutors and support staff to meet students’ needs. The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting students with additional needs in a vocational or practical setting. Understanding of health and safety procedures in workshop environments. Patient, reliable, and able to motivate learners. Good communication and teamwork skills.
