Job summary

Durrington Infant and Junior Federated Schools in Worthing are seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to work 8:30am-3:15pm, term-time only, supporting learning for pupils with EHCPs and assisting the teacher.

You will reflect on your performance, work in classroom or outdoor spaces, follow safeguarding and DBS processes, and join a friendly staff team committed to professional development.

Qualifications

• Have English and Maths qualification to at least level 2 of the National Qualification Framework.
• Have experience of supporting children's learning.
• Have experience of supporting individuals/ groups of children with specific learning difficulties.
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Be committed and keen to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Enable access to learning for pupils with EHCPs and assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Work may be in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
• Reflect and evaluate your own performance, achievements, strengths and weaknesses, using best practice benchmarks.
