Job summary

Nova Education Trust in Nottinghamshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils, working with class teachers to promote learning and inclusion. You will support pupils across lessons, help prepare materials, and contribute to a positive, safe learning environment.

This is a permanent post, full-time though part-time and job-share considered, term-time only, with Scale 3 pay (£26,427 to £26,847 pro rata, £22,691 to £23,052 per year).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in an educational setting.
• Ability to work with diverse learners and adapt approaches.
• Wamiliarity with safeguarding and classroom basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching support to allocated pupils by planning with the class teacher to progress learning.
• Assist in preparing the learning environment and materials.
• Manage student behaviour to create a constructive working environment.
• Support learners in class, 1:1 sessions and small groups to facilitate engagement.
• Devise planning to meet needs under the direction of the teacher.

Salary : Scale 3 (£26,427 to £26,847 pro rata, £22,691 to £23,052 actual per year)

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Learning Support Assistant on a permanent basis that can support our specialist approach to learning. This vacancy is for a full time post, however part time can be considered.

Your main responsibilities within this role will be:

• Provide teaching support to allocated pupils by planning teaching with the class teacher to achieve progression of learning
• Assisting in preparing the learning environment and the materials used therein
• Managing student behaviour to ensure a constructive working environment
• Support learners in class across the academy, in 1:1 sessions and in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement.
• Under the direction of the teacher devise planning to meet the needs of assigned individuals or groups.
