Overview

Seeking a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Upminster.

What you will do

You will join a great team that predominantly works with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. A desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary. You will bring a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning and build strong relationships with individual children.

Responsibilities
  • Support children with special needs in a specialist school setting (including MLD, SLD, ASD, PMLD).
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
  • Work on a long-term, full-time basis (5 days a week between 8:30am and 3:30pm).
Qualifications and desirable training
  • Certificates in Manual Handling, Hoist, First Aid, Care would be admired.
