A dedicated educational institution in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with SEND students aged 11-16 years. The role requires collaboration and experience with children having various learning difficulties. Full-time hours are 35 per week, but part-time applications are also welcomed. Ideal candidates will have expertise in improving literacy and numeracy skills.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly committed Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Department. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a team. You will be expected to work with SEND students across the age range 11-16 years. Ideally you will have some experience of working with children who have a range of learning / behaviour difficulties and be an expert in raising levels of literacy and numeracy.

Post is 35 hours per week, Monday 8am - 4.15pm and Tuesday - Friday 8am - 3.15pm however part time / job share will also be considered
