Job Role: Learning Support Assistant (SLDD)

Salary:£24,828 per annum pro-rata, £12.21 per hour, (plus generous holiday allowance equivalent to an extra £2.27 per hour paid as part of your salary)

Contract:Term-Time only 36 weeks per year

Hours:Flexible hours available up to 28 hours per week, plus the opportunity to increase hours on an ad hoc basis

About the Role:

Are you passionate about empowering others and making a meaningful impact? Do you have experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties or physical disabilities?

We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team at Isle of Wight College. In this rewarding role, you’ll support learners with a range of needs including learning, sensory, and mobility disabilities, as they prepare for independent living and working life.

You’ll work closely with a supportive team, including Section Leaders, ALS Champions, and the Head of ALS/FS, to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for both full-time and part-time students.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

·Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards with financial support from the College)

·Level 2 qualification in Support The Adult Learner (or willingness to work towards with financial support from the College)

·Hold a First Aid Qualification (or willingness to work towards with financial support from the College)

·Demonstrable experience of providing personal care and support to child or adults with additional needs
