Job summary

Philosophy Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a Further Education College in Bromley to support students aged 16-25 with SEND. You will help them access the curriculum and build independence inside and outside the classroom.

The role requires patience, empathy and a proactive approach, with experience supporting Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties. DBS clearance is essential to start.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or adults with SEND.
• Patient, empathetic and understanding.
• Passion for supporting students with additional needs.
• Confident supporting students with Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional learning needs.
• Support students to engage with lessons and classroom activities.
• Help students develop communication, social and independent living skills.
• Adapt approach to meet individual student needs.
• Support students with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers and college staff.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
