Job description

A vibrant, supportive, and inclusive school in Crowborough are looking for compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their team!

About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs including moderate, severe, or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some of the pupils have additional physical and/or sensory impairment, including autism. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide personalised support, ensuring every child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Assist students with their learning, both in the classroom and in one-on-one settings.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to monitor and track progress.

What we are looking for:

  • A genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Previous experience working with children or in a support role is preferred but not essential.
