Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in planning, preparation, and assessment of learning as part of the curriculum team.
  2. Provide support in and out of class to meet the needs of students with High Needs.
  3. Report on students with High Needs or SEND, including feedback on strategies and progress towards EHCP outcomes.
  4. Assist with emergency evacuation plans and participate in drills.
  5. Attend reviews and student meetings to update on progress and behavior.
  6. Support learners' transport arrangements and help develop independent travel skills where needed.
About You
  • Educated to Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or committed to achieving this within one year.
  • Experience supporting SEND or high-needs students, supporting their learning through strategies and preparation for adulthood.
  • Strong awareness of disability, equality, and diversity issues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to change.
  • Flexibility to work across campuses and participate in off-site visits.
Benefits
  • Generous annual leave: at least 39 days plus bank holidays for full-time staff.
  • Support for pension schemes, memberships, and discounts (e.g., TOTUM card).
