About the Role

This is a Variable Hours contract.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to support our PMLD and Complex needs department.

The Vine is a department with over 50 Learners with Complex needs and behaviours that can challenge. We deliver a varied Curriculum to meet each of our learners' individual needs in line with their EHCPs. Our highly skilled team takes pride in developing our learners' personal and preparation for adulthood skills to prepare them for their future life. We have a strong emphasis on working as a team, offering mutual support and flexibility while striving for the highest standards for our learners. Our ultimate goal is to enable our learners to become as independent as possible and lead a happy, fulfilled life.

We have multiple contracts for this role, including:

  • Two 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
  • One 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

What You Will Do

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of courses in Independent Living skills with a focus on The Preparation for Adulthood framework.
  • Support students in line with curriculum objectives and EHCP outcomes.
  • Create resources to engage and develop learners.
  • Support principles and practical skills to help learners along their journey into Adulthood.
  • Assess learners' progress and provide feedback to help them develop.
  • Work as part of a team to create a nurturing, positive environment for learners.

About You

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of courses in Independent Living skills, focusing on The Preparation for Adulthood framework.
  • Support students according to curriculum objectives and EHCP outcomes.
  • Create engaging resources for learners.
  • Support learners' practical skills and development into Adulthood.
  • Assess and feedback on learners' progress.
  • Work collaboratively to foster a positive environment.
