About the Role

This is a Variable Hours contract.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to support our PMLD and Complex needs department.

The Vine is a department with over 50 Learners with Complex needs and behaviours that can challenge. We deliver a varied Curriculum to meet each of our learners' individual needs in line with their EHCPs. Our highly skilled team takes pride in developing our learners' personal and preparation for adulthood skills to prepare them for their future life. We emphasize teamwork, mutual support, and flexibility while striving for high standards. Our goal is to enable learners to become as independent as possible and lead a fulfilling life.

We have multiple contracts for this role, including:

  • 2 x 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
  • 1 x 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

What You Will Do

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of courses in Independent Living skills, focusing on The Preparation for Adulthood framework.
  • Support students in line with curriculum objectives and EHCP outcomes.
  • Create resources to engage and develop learners.
  • Support principles and practical skills to help learners transition into Adulthood.
  • Assess learner progress and provide feedback to support their development.
  • Work as part of a team to create a nurturing, positive environment for learners.

About You

  • Support and contribute to courses in Independent Living skills, focusing on The Preparation for Adulthood framework.
  • Support students in line with curriculum objectives and EHCP outcomes.

  • Support learners' transition into Adulthood with practical and theoretical skills.
