Salary: Grade 3 - £22,737 pro rata
Job Description
Grade 3 - £22,737 for 30 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £16,193.74 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £16,547.31 pro rata per annum after 5 year's service.
The Head Teacher and Management Committee are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for our Longterm Unit to join our team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must support a positive, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to meet their potential.
You will be working under the direction of the Teacher in Charge and Classroom Teacher, providing support as a member of a team, or individually, for pupils. This will take the form of assisting the Class Teacher through participation in class/group/individual lessons.
You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of materials and displays, clear away resources as required, and contribute to the delivery of individual development plans (IDPs) under the direction of the Class Teacher.
A good standard of education, an understanding of child development, together with excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
