Job Description:

Learning Support Assistant – Mental Health Focus – Barnet Primary School – September 2024

Clarus Education is working with a fantastic Primary School in the North London borough of Barnet to recruit a Mental Health Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work alongside the class teachers in classrooms with students with a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role is a full-time, long-term role until July 2025, starting in September 2024, following a successful trial day.

With this role, the successful applicant will receive first-class professional training and development opportunities, which will be hugely valuable to you in your career going forward.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Focus on supporting pupils with SEMH, mainly on a 1:1 basis
  • Run social & emotional interventions
  • Full time (Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:00)
  • September 2024 start
  • Long-term, full-time contract until July 2025

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • 1st Class/ 2:1-degree Graduates ideal
  • Previous SEMH experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Strong passion for SEMH/SEN is required.
  • Must be highly dependable, empathetic and with a professional outlook
