Canonium Learning Trust, winner of TES Trust of the Year (9 schools or fewer) 2025, is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Tolleshunt D'Arcy St Nicholas CE Primary Academy on a one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract to start in November 2026.

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, positive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who will support class teachers to deliver lessons that enable pupils of all abilities to flourish. The ideal candidate will have a patient and understanding manner, with excellent communication skills, a flexible and proactive approach, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential. This role will involve supporting pupil's learning both inside and outside the classroom.

This is a term time only position, working Monday to Friday 6 hours and 5 minutes per day. The start time is 8:40am and the finish time is 3:15pm with a 30 minute lunch break. The salary is £19,439.40 per annum.

We would be open to discuss part time working arrangements with interested candidates. Please indicate your preferred working pattern when applying.

Tolleshunt D'Arcy St. Nicholas CofE Primary Academy is part of Canonium Learning Trust. We are a smaller than average Church of England school with a strong community feel, we are fortunate that with only 4 classes we can offer smaller class sizes. We are based in Tolleshunt D'Arcy, a picturesque village within the District of Maldon.
