SEND Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School, Middleton (Rochdale) | £90 - £100 per day | Full-time | Start Date: ASAP

Tradewind Recruitment are partnering with a welcoming and supportive Secondary School in Middleton, Rochdale, seeking an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately. This role supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities across KS3 and KS4, under the direction of the SENCO and class teachers, providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEND to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
  • Assisting teachers with planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.

About You:

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have previous experience working in schools or within the education sector (essential).
  • Be confident in supporting pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind (we are happy to reimburse the cost of processing new applications).
