This role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE qualification. It is suitable for someone transitioning from Nursery to Primary education.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our primary school team. The successful candidate will support students with diverse learning needs within the classroom, helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assisting in the implementation of IEPs and learning strategies.
  • Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and participating in activities.
  • Fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers to monitor progress and adjust support accordingly.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in students.
  • Maintaining records of student progress and providing feedback.

Previous experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development. The role requires teamwork, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
