Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across Primary and Secondary settings. You will support learning outcomes by identifying where a student is struggling and providing scaffolding and resources to help them succeed.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at A-C (or 4-9) as a minimum requirement.

Your Role as an LSA

As a Learning Support Assistant, you are the link between the teachers high:level plan and the students individual understanding.

• Differentiating Resources: Take a standard lesson and re:package it:creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks:to suit the specific needs of the learners you support.
• Small Group Leadership: Take charge of breakout sessions, guiding 3:5 students through a specific task to ensure they arent overwhelmed by the pace of the main classroom.
• Promoting Independence: Use the scaffold and fade technique:providing heavy support initially and gradually stepping back as the student gains the confidence to work alone.
• Progress Tracking: Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles, providing vital data to the Class Teacher and SENCO to help shape future lessons.
