Do you have a passion for supporting students and helping them thrive in their learning journey?

Here at Long-Term Teachers, we’re on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a wonderful school in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, helping them to achieve their best academically and personally.

About the Role
As an LSA, you’ll be an integral part of the classroom, working closely with both teachers and students. Your role will involve providing tailored support, ensuring that every child feels encouraged and able to overcome any challenges they face. Whether it’s assisting with lessons, managing activities, or offering one-on-one help, your support will be invaluable.

Your Day-to-Day as a Learning Support Assistant

  • Provide personalised support to students with varying learning needs both in and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Offer personal care and guidance to students when needed, ensuring their well-being.
  • Help create an inclusive and positive learning environment where all students feel valued.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies.
  • Encourage students to become independent and build their confidence in their abilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • While previous experience with children or young people is an essential requirement, it doesn’t have to be in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and staff alike.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a caring approach to student support.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

What’s in It for You?

  • A competitive daily rate of £90.32 - £95.
  • Part-time hours that give you flexibility and balance.
  • A warm, supportive team environment where your contributions are valued.
  • Opportunities for professional development to help you grow in your role.

If you’re ready to make a positive impact and join a school community that’s passionate about nurturing young minds, we’d love to hear from you.
