Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) who could work in Years 1 to 6

Required From: Monday 1st September 2025

The Governors, staff and children at Lark Hill Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent and hardworking Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) to share in our vision within our school. All children deserve the very best and we are looking for a professional who has a passion for the teaching and the learning of children and is committed to our school value s of NURTURE; ACHIEVE and RESPECT.

The LSA will be responsible for working within our Kay Stage one and two classes, supporting teaching and learning of all groups of learners. Working closely with the class teachers, you will support in the planning, organisation and delivery of the National Curriculum and programmes of specific intervention, as well as collaborating with staff from across other classes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the appropriate teaching and learning level 2 diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Have experience of supporting the delivery of the KS1 or KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Promote and model the school values of NURTURE; ACHIEVE and RESPECT
  • Promote and model the school vision including infusing honesty and integrity into all of school life
  • Develop high quality professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents, carers and Governors.
  • Contribute to the development of an inspiring culture for learning across the school
  • Understand the importance and impact of teamwork and collaboration. Work in collaboration with professionals and school staff to work towards individual and group targets.
  • Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
  • Understand attachment theory and the functions of behavior, and have proven experience of positive behaviour management strategies and a commitment to the school’s relationship and behaviour policy.
