Learning Support Assistant

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Shoreham
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time Only



About the Role:

Randstad Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our network of schools across West Sussex. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in primary education, working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students' learning.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and parent meetings as needed.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK for this role.
