Key Stage 2 SEND Teaching Assistant Intervention Support
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29
Position Type: Full-time, Term-time Only
Salary: Dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a compassionate, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND)? A warm and welcoming Catholic primary school in the heart of Selly Oak (B29) is currently seeking multiple dedicated Key Stage 2 SEND Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team.

This school places Christ at the centre of everything it does, fostering a community built on love, respect, and inclusivity. Pupils are encouraged to flourish both academically and spiritually, in a nurturing environment where everyone is valued and supported to reach their God-given potential.

The successful candidates will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver targeted intervention support to pupils in Key Stage 2, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will help remove barriers to learning, promote pupil confidence, and support children in making sustained progress in a caring, structured setting.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly in Key Stage 2

  • Demonstrate a positive, flexible and patient approach

  • Can build strong relationships with children, staff and families

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child development

  • Are committed to upholding the school s inclusive and faith-driven ethos
