Job description

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Manchester, M11
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: 95.83 to 111.09 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive EYFS setting in a fantastic primary school in M11, Manchester. This full-time Learning Support Assistant role is to start as soon as possible and is expected to continue through to July 2026, with a view to becoming a permanent position for the right person.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work across Nursery and Reception, supporting early language development, early literacy, play-based learning, and a wide range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant with strong EYFS knowledge and a passion for making a real difference during the most formative years of a child's life.

Please note: a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is essential for this Learning Support Assistant role.

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils across the EYFS, including 1:1, small groups, and whole class activities
Assist with early phonics, number work, and communication development
Help to implement personalised learning plans for pupils with SEND
Foster an inclusive and stimulating environment through learning through play
Work closely with the class teacher and other EYFS staff to support emotional regulation and routines
Monitor progress and contribute to ongoing assessment and planning

The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will:
Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years
Have recent experience working within an EYFS setting
Be proactive, nurturing, and committed to child development
Be confident supporting children with a range of needs including ASD, speech and language delay, and SEMH
Show strong communication and teamwork skills and a willingness to go the extra mile

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
Level 3 qualification (essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Recent references covering the last 2-3 years
A genuine passion for Early Years education and inclusion
