Learning Support Assistant

Barking & Dagenham

90- 105 per day PAYE

Full-time (term-time only)

SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of caring and vibrant primary school in Barking & Dagenham who are looking for learning support assistants to support various students across the school with additional needs.

The school is looking for a confident and committed learning support assistant to join their school community.

The role will be supporting students across different year groups (year 1 to year 6) who have learning needs and require additional support.

As a learning support assistant, you will:

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce lessons or provide extra help
  • Help with differentiated instruction, tailored to individual learning styles and needs
  • Help with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Help with emotional regulation and behavior as needed
  • Assist with classroom displays, organising resources, or setting up activities
  • Supervise during break times, outings, or transitions

About you:

  • Experience working in a primary school or with children, preferably as a teaching assistant/learning support assistant
  • Experience supporting children with special needs/autism is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A passion for working with children
